My name is Matthew Williams II, I'm 15, and I am a Web Developer. I participated in the South Bend Code School's Fundementals of Web Development. In that, I created two websites and learned three coding/programming languages in nine weeks. After, I presented a web app with the group I was in to Google tech employees. Since then, I continue my work in web development not only by working on personal projects, but also working with the South Bend Code School as a Contract Developer and as a Freelance Developer. This is my passion, I would like to continue my work in Computer Science.
Right now I am a sophomore at Riley High School in the Engineering Magnet, continuing my education in computer science. In the future, I would like to find my self getting my degree in computer science from MIT and being a software engineer at Google.
While I was at Lasalle Intermediate Academy, I created a coding club in my eigth grade year where I taught web development and basic computer science. I did this to allow other kids to experince and get exposed to a big and upcoming industry.
Working with Matt to develop the project showcase for my CS classes was simple and to the point. Matt understood what I was looking for, and quickly delivered results - a great looking and very functional website to showcase my students' projects.
Matt’s been an excellent student of ours and is growing into a fine developer. Using his programming skills, he developed a project management tool for our team. He also used his web development skills to code a student and instructor portal to help with our coding classes.
